More than 2,600 participants are expected at Europe’s biggest event dedicated to digital finance. Around 220 speakers, major players in the financial industry (heads of banks, insurance companies, financial regulation services and investment), and 150 international Fintechs from 45 countries will meet inside the Palais Brongniart, the former home of the French Stock Exchange.
Among the topics being discussed are AI in finance, the power of data, cybersecurity in the Fintech era, and the impact of blockchains and crypto assets on financial services.
This year’s event is set to be more diverse than ever, with a “Women in Finance” lunch debate scheduled for January 30 titled “Diversity is a key factor for the success of the financial industry”.
A recent survey carried out by New Alpha AM and Exton Consulting estimates that there are currently 320 independent Fintech companies in France. The sectors with the highest numbers of Fintechs are loyalty programs, insurance, and “regtech”, which helps companies to comply with regulatory requirements.
