Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Minister of State at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, has presented France's foreign trade results for the first half of 2018.
French exports are up for the fourth consecutive quarter, worth €242.7 billion, which is an increase of more than 4% year-on-year. The fastest growing sectors are car manufacturing, shipbuilding, and grains, pulses and oilseeds. On the markets front, there has been a strong growth in exports to the European Union and North America. However, France has seen a decrease in exports to Asia.
